Identity Checks  

Passed (Green): Match has been established between the information provided by the candidate and the databases searched.


Consider (Amber): The data provided by the candidate is inconsistent or insufficient. This result flags differences in the data supplied by the candidate and the databases searched. The applicant details may need to be reviewed as the report may have failed due to the candidate providing incorrect data.


Failed (Red): If the candidate is unidentified, it means Verified NZ could not verify the candidate’s details on any database that we are plugged into.

Candidate's can be unidentified for a number of reasons:

Their information may have been entered incorrectly:

  • a nickname should not be entered
  • date of birth should be entered as it appears on identity documents
  • only addresses which have a registered bank account/utility bill should be entered

The candidate details may need to be reviewed as the report may have failed due to the applicant providing incorrect data.
